Breast cancer is cancer that starts in the breast tissue, it starts when cells in the breast begin to divide and grow in an unusual and uncontrolled way. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK which is most prevalent in woman over the age of 50.

According to the NHS 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Providing that the cancer is caught early there is a good chance of recovery. For this reason, it’s very important that woman of all ages regularly check their breasts for any changes and always have any changes examined by a GP.
