Social smokers are still at risk of heart disease

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) have stated that smoking just one cigarette can triple the risk of a person dying from heart disease when compared to a person who has never smoked.

The research that has been conducted indicates that part time or social smokers are kidding themselves with regards to their health.

Furthermore, there has been an increase in lung cancer rates amongst women who smoke at least one cigarette per day.

This latest research has been released to coincide with National No Smoking Day on 12th March 2014 – there are estimated to be over 1.1 million social smokers in the UK and this latest research highlights that there is no safe level for smoking.
